Can’t Keep Up?
Home Cleaning Health and Hygiene
Personal hygiene is necessary for many reasons; personal, social, health, psychological or simply as a way of life. Maintaining the cleanliness of the house takes work but not as much work as some people think. A clean house is more a matter of establishing a few habits that you repeat on a regular basis. The more often you repeat the tasks, the cleaner your house will be ongoing.
Cleanliness and hygiene must be maintained if you want to live a healthy and hygienic life. Keeping a good standard of hygiene helps to prevent the development and spread of infections, illnesses and bad odours.
No one said that you have to do everything at once and even when time seems short. If you can manage one task a day, things should start to work themselves out.
Adjusting the list of the needs of your family is required. To make it easier, take a blank calendar and fill it in accordingly so easier tasks are on days where your day is go, go, go and reserve the more difficult ones for days when things are a little lighter.
1. What comes through the door, deal with it.
Actually, what you want to do is stop the dirt in your tracks specifically, on the soles of your shoes. There are other ways that dirt gets in – and in particular, you may be thinking of dirt that comes through the air and open windows – but what you bring in on your feet is of far greater significance.
2. Doormats need minimal maintenance
Just take them outside occasionally and give them a good shake to remove the dust as well as a once-over with the vacuum cleaner now and then.
3. Consider how often you leave your windows open.
Letting your house breath a bit on a breezy day can feel great, but know that open windows also invites pollen and other particles inside.
4. Clean as you go.
You will get into the habit of doing this after a while. Once you walk away from a mess, chances are that you won’t go back to it.
5. Empty, drain or cover all things that can and may hold water.
Do not leave buckets of water or opened container with water in or near your home, as these places serve as perfect environment for breeding mosquitoes causing fatal diseases.
6. Do washing every day, little amounts won’t lead to a complete day cleaning up.
Just think about the accomplishment you felt after having your home cleaned up – that’s definitely priceless.
When you encourage yourself to maintain cleanliness, that will then turn and form as your habit. Everyone’s idea of a clean home is different and only you can decide on how you want to tackle cleaning your home.
Some people love doing it and some may not but either way, the time and effort in cleaning your home leads to happier, healthier and overall calmer environment. After all, home hygiene isn’t about creating a sterile, lifeless home. It’s about protecting the occupants of the home.
